Ways We Help
Youth Organizations
Andona strives to support organizations in the Andover or Greater Lawrence area. Typical requests are to assist with funding sports/recreational, educational/citizenship, cultural and health/welfare offerings. Andona is committed to providing financial support to our elementary and middle schools that may be beyond the school budgets. Andona makes an annual donation to help fund whatever program is agreed upon by the Principal and/or PTO of each school.
Scholarships
Each year, Andona provides five $2,000 scholarships to high school seniors whose official, permanent residence is in Andover. Eligible applicants must also be ranked in the upper 50% of their high school class and have plans to continue their education after graduation from high school. One of the five scholarships is awarded to a senior who receives special education services.
Camperships
Each summer we provide approximately $15,000 in summer “campership” opportunities to kids in need living in Andover. Andona works closely with the school system to identify prospective candidates and then works with candidate families to enroll their children in camp programs of their choice. Our sponsorship provides up to $300 per child per summer. Interested families must contact the adjustment counselor at their child’s school and not Andona directly.
